TJBot Hardware Hackathon

This compeition is hosted throughout eweek where teams of 2 to 4 students will build an IBM TJBot and compete in a series of challenges. All teams will receive free hardware (hw) to build their TJBot and develop applications with hw and software extensions. Students will receive training from IBM engineers on how to build the TJBot using IBM Watson services (Node JS, Cloudant, Node-RED, Mobile), and integrating additional sensors on the Raspberry PI.

IEEE Southeastcon 2018

SoutheastCon is the annual IEEE Region 3 Technical, Professional, and Student Conference. It brings together Computer Scientists, Electrical, and Computer Engineering professionals, faculty and students to share the latest information through technical sessions, tutorials, and exhibits. It is the most influential conference in Region 3 for promoting awareness of the technical contributions made by our profession to the advancement of engineering science and to the community. As usual, attendance and technical program participation from areas outside IEEE Region 3 are encouraged and welcomed.

From Zero to Hero

This Event is held at Eweek as well that is critical for web developers everywhere. This workshop will be segmented into (2) 50-minute segments. Part 1 - Learn how to build a website from the ground up and how to host it. Includes website development basics, learning about HTML5 and CSS, making a first "Hello World!" setup page, and how to introduce Bootstrap to the site. Part 2 - Learn about web hosting, domain services, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Please, bring your laptops with you, so that you may learn with the presenters.
